Fast turn-on operations, such as those caused by MOSFET, IGBT or SiC circuit-breakers, generate a wide interference spectrum in the high kHz and low MHz ranges and thereby the mains filters act as low-pass filters:

  • Low frequencies of 50 Hz or 60 Hz pass through, high-frequency interference is damped.
  • Film capacitors with self-healing properties offer high intrinsic immunity to voltage peaks.
  • Good damping properties are achieved by high-quality current compensated toroidal core chokes.

The radio interference suppression in the control cabinet has become simpler. The series of SSF filter eliminates the time-consuming task of screwing the mains filters. These filters are snapped onto the top-hat rail and connected to the device to be interference-suppressed. Depending on the application, you can choose between two variants..
